HRGiger Museum Cafe, Gruyere, Switzerland: Double bubble toil and trouble

by Tim Dempsey on June 27, 2009

We were having a beer in the afternoon, a rainy day, at this strange but wonderful place in Gruyere. A group of American college students walked in to have a drink… and I caught them huddled in the corner under these spinal-column-like arches off in their own wiccan chapel.

I used two exposures — one for the vaulted ceiling — dark and creepy; a warmer and lighter exposure for the “fire and caldron” and the college gals.
