This image got what has become my standard for "Orton." I load up the RAW image, apply the usual levels and curves adjustments. Not much of either in this case.
I create two duplicate layers: to the first I apply the "screen" blending mode, to the second I apply both the "Gaussian Blur" filter, and the "multiply" blending mode. I make final adjustments to the background layer to get the levels just right, flatten the image, and publish.
