Nikon D70, 85mm Nikkor (prime)
This is really a test… I had been reading about various photoshop effects, and this is known as "orton." It is well documented here: on pcin.net
I took a straight copy layer, named "core," then duplicated it… gave the duplicate a blending mode of "Screen." Merged the duplicate layer down. Copied that — named it "fuzzy." Adjusted the blur and gave that layer the blending property "multiply." Jiggered the amount of Gaussian blur — ended up at 28.9 (all will depend on source image depth of field).
